Pandemic Tool

As a UX designer, I was engaged by the Swedish government to design and develop a mobile app that would provide citizens with up-to-date information and alerts related to COVID-19.

My first step was to interview stakeholders from the government and health officials to understand their needs and goals for the app. Through these interviews, I identified the key features that the app needed to include, such as testing locations, symptom tracking, and alerts for new COVID-19 cases.

Next, I facilitated exploration workshops with potential users to gather insights and feedback on the app design. These workshops helped me identify the features and functionalities that users valued the most and provided valuable input on the overall design.

Using these insights, I created several designs for the app’s user interface (UI) that were visually appealing and easy to navigate. I prepared interactive prototypes of the app and tested them with users to refine the design further.

Based on feedback from user testing, I developed the app’s UI to make it more intuitive and user-friendly. The app was then developed by a team of developers, with me overseeing the process to ensure that the design was implemented correctly.

After the app was launched, it was a success because it was easy to use and helped citizens stay informed and safe during the COVID-19 pandemic. The app received positive feedback from users and was widely adopted throughout Sweden. My work as a UX designer played a key role in the success of the app by ensuring that it met the needs of both stakeholders and users.
